Frank Furedi (ur. 3 maja 1947) – brytyjski socjolog pochodzenia węgierskiego, emerytowany profesor socjologii na Uniwersytecie w Kent.
Życie Frank Furedi urodził się na Węrzech jako Ferenc Füredi. Po powstaniu węgierskim w 1956 roku jego rodzina emigrowała do Kanady. Ukończył studia licencjackie z stosunków międzynarodowych na Uniwersytecie McGilla w Montrealu. W 1969 przeprowadził się do Wielkiej Brytanii. Ukończył studia magisterskie na _School of Oriental and African Studies w Londynie. W 1987 obronił doktorat na Uniwersytecie w Kencie, na temat powstania Mau Mau. Znalazł zatrudnienie na Uniwersytecie w Kencie. Obecnie jest tam profesorem emerytowanym.
W tym czasie stał się szeroko znanym i obecnym w brytyjskich mediach intelektualistą. Analizy z 2005 pokazują, że był wtedy najczęściej cytowanym i publikowanym socjologiem.
W 2021 został dyrektorem brukselskiej filii Mathias Corvinus Collegium w BudapeszcieFuredi on MCC.
Zainteresowania naukowe Jego zainteresowani obejmowały początkowo imperializm, kolonializm i relacje rasowe. Od początku lat 2000 w odpowiedzi na prace Ulricha Becka na temat społeczeństwa ryzyka, zaczął rozwijać własne koncepcje związane z kondycją współczesnych społeczeństw. Szeroko znane są jego prace poświęcone socjologii strachu, kulturze terapeutycznej i modelom wychowania (koncepcja "paranoicznego rodzicielstwa").
