Rob Cavestany znany jest przede wszystkim z występów w thrashmetalowym zespole Death Angel, którego był założycielem. Prowadzi również solową działalność artystyczną. Był także członkiem zespołów Smokestack, Swarm, The Organization oraz The Past.
