Avaritia е подрод дребни кръвосмучещи насекоми от род Куликоиди.
Морфологични особености Представителите на този подрод са едни от най-дребните. Очите отпред на главата се допират – т.нар. съприкосновени и неотделена с шев челна четинка. Сенсилите са на трето членче на антените и от 11-о до 15-о. Крилата са с петна, макротрихите по тях са слабо развити. Сперматеките при женските са две. Средният дял на едеагуса при мъжките е слабо развит.
