Souvrství Bajo Barreal je geologickou formací z období pozdní křídy, jejíž sedimentární výchozy se nacházejí na území argentinských provincií Santa Cruz a Chubut (geologická pánev Golfo San Jorge, Patagonie). Definováno a formálně popsáno bylo v roce 1963. Sedimenty tohoto souvrství dochovávají také početné fosilní pozůstatky dinosaurů a jejich současníků. Tato formace nasedá na sedimenty souvrství Castillo a naopak se nachází v podloží mladšího geologického souvrství Lago Colhué Huapí.Sylwan, C. A. (2001). Charakteristika Převládajícím typem horniny tohoto souvrství je pískovec, jílovec, slepenec a tuf. Stáří sedimentů je pozdně křídové (věky cenoman až turon, asi před 97 až 90 miliony let). Jedná se především o dávné fluviální (říční) naplaveniny.Informace na webu The Paleobiology Database
