A Schismatogobius a csontos halak (Osteichthyes) főosztályának a sugarasúszójú halak (Actinopterygii) osztályába, ezen belül a sügéralakúak (Perciformes) rendjébe, a gébfélék (Gobiidae) családjába és a Gobionellinae alcsaládjába tartozó nem.
