Az Asterophryinae a kétéltűek (Amphibia) osztályába, a békák (Anura) rendjébe és a szűkszájúbéka-félék (Microhylidae) családjába tartozó alcsalád.
Elterjedése Az alcsaládba tartozó fajok Indonéziában, Pápua Új-Guineában a Maluku-szigeteken, valamint Új-Guineában a Louisiade-szigeteken honosak.
