C/1945 L1 du Toit è una cometa non periodica scoperta l'11 giugno 1945 dall'astronomo sudafricano Daniel du Toit Council report on comets in 1945, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, vol. 106, n. 1, pag. 77, 1946.: l'unica sua particolarità è di avere un'orbita retrograda.
