Secondo Daniel D Benjamin (The Patriarchs of the Church of the East, translated from Assyrian into English by Youel A Baaba, United States of America, 2005, pp. 5-6) è dubbia la cronologia dei patriarchi di Qodchanis dal 1700 al 1903, epoca in cui sono documentati solo 5 prelati, ciascuno con un periodo di patriarcato di circa 40 anni: …such neat division claiming equal duration of tenures raises some doubt. One is led to speculate that for the 203 years in question, the identity of the patriarchs and the period of their patriarchal tenure was not known, except for the name of five of them. Secondo le tradizionali cronotassi dei patriarchi della Chiesa d'Oriente, succedette nel 1700 a Shimun XIII Denha e morì nel 1740 Samuel Burleson & Lucas Van Rompay, List of Patriarchs: I. The Church of the East and its Uniate continuations, Gorgias Encyclopedic Dictionary of the Syriac Heritage, electronic edition. nella residenza patriarcale di Qodchanis. Murre-Vandenberg, The Patriarchs of the Church of the East from the Fifteenth to Eighteenth Centuries, p. 256. Wilmshurst, The Ecclesiastical Organisation of the Church of the East, pp. 356-357.
