I Birdsongs of the Mesozoic sono un gruppo musicale statunitense avant-progressive rock.
Storia I Birdsong of the Mesozoic vennero formati nel 1980 a Boston da Roger Miller e Martin Swope, già membri dei Mission of Burma. Esordirono con l'EP Birdsong of the Mesozoic (1983) al quale seguirono l'album Magnetic Flip (1985) e un altro EP intitolato Beat of the Mesozoic. Nel 1989, anno di uscita di Faultline, la band passò alla Cuneiform. Nel corso della loro attività, i Birdsongs of the Mesozoic hanno cambiato formazione più volte.
