Bythograea — род морских крабов из семейства Bythograeidae инфраотряда Eubrachyura (Bythograedoidea, Heterotremata). Известно 6 видов. Они колонизируют гидротермальные источники на глубоководном дне на глубинах от 2333 до 2832 м в районе Восточно-Тихоокеанского хребта и Кокосовой плиты..
Описание Карапакс достигает в длину 40 мм в длину и наиболее широк в середине или непосредственно перед ней. Глаза, стебельки усиков и сами усики глубоко вдавлены под лоб. Широкая плоская подглазничная пластинка ограничена рядом гранул и разделена некальцифицированной щелью. Край глазницы неполный. Роговица непигментирована или пигментирована. Второй гонопод короче первого.
