Описание Солдаты с длинными жвалами и конусовидным выростом на лбу. Мандибулы длинные и тонкие, стержневидные, изогнутые вниз, слегка асимметричные. Пронотум седловидныйAhmad, M. 1965. Обладают признаками родовой группы Termes, у которых усики имаго самок и самцов 14-16-члениковые, формула шпор голеней 3-2-2 или 2-2-2, усики солдат — 14-15-члениковые.
Обитают в различных типах местообитаний, питаются полуразложившейся древесиной и, возможно, гумусом. Живут внутри древесины, в термитниках, построенных другими термитами, или строят древесные и надземные гнезда из картона, которые имеют черный цветConstantino, R. 1999a.
