Биография С 1974 года живёт в Западной Европе, с 1988 года — профессор и заведующий кафедрой санскрита Страсбургского университета (Франция). Основные научные интересы — ведийская филология, сравнительное индоевропейское языкознание и этимология, буддийский санскрит и сравнительная мифология.
