Опис Загальна довжина представників цього роду коливається від 1 до 8,8 см. Спостерігається статевий диморфізм: самиці більші за самців. Голова невелика. Морда дуже коротка. Є великі очі з горизонтальними зіницями. Тулуб стрункий. Помітні зовнішні залози. Кінцівки витончені з 3—5 пальцями. У різних видів перетинки на пальцях розвинені не однаково. У забарвлені переважають сірі, коричневі, бурі, бежеві кольори.
Спосіб життя Полюбляють здебільшого тропічні та субтропічні ліси, місцини біля водойм. Ведуть напівдеревний або наземний спосіб життя. Активні у присмерку та вночі. Живляться різними безхребетними.
Парування відбувається пахвовим амплексусом. Самиці відкладають яйця у воду. У цих земноводних відбувається прямий розвиток жабенят, без личинкової стадії.
Розповсюдження Мешкають у південних штатах США, Мексиці. Белізі, Гватемалі, Антильських островах.
